Overview: Another solid effort from the Legendary Roots Crew. Probably their strongest effort since Things Fall Apart, this album is a bit darker and heavier than previous releases. Not as conceptual as The Tipping Point, but still thought-provoking and innovative. The word best to describe this album is consistent. Each song feels like it belongs, in the exact order it appears. It’s refreshing to hear Malik B on so many tracks and he and Dice Raw make “Here I Come” one of the album’s standout cuts. Peedi Crack also makes an unpredictable cameo, adding flavor to “Long Time.” Other bangers include “Clock With No Hands,” “Take It There,” and “Can’t Stop This.” The star of the show, as usual, is Black Thought. He appears as razor sharp as ever, with every bar woven together with great intricacy. On the 7th album, the Roots show no signs of slowing down. Consistency is what most hip hop fans look for, so look no further than Game Theory.
Dopeness Percentage - Takes into account how many dope songs there are compared to tracks on the album. For example, if an album had 14 tracks and 5 of them were dope, you have a Dopeness of 36%.
