While the Hiphop and Unity Peace Fest is a first time event in the Boston area to promote love and unity through hiphop this concert DVD is more or less a How to guide to rocking a crowd. Packed with numerous performances from everybody from L Tha Headtoucha to PMD, Big Daddy Kane and KRS One you know who can bring it and well who can’t.

It’s two and a half hours in front of 40,000 people so a lot of the performances are hit or miss but if you ever have a chance whether on film or in person to catch a KRS performance you do it! While there were great moments like watching Kane kill it or Skillz and Pharoah Monche on the mic live there is absolutely no comparison to KRS.

He is not lying when he says “Call up KRS he’s guaranteed to rock the party.” While performing many classics with so much energy you’d think he’d drank four red bulls before he got onstage KRS destroys the set and even has breakers come on and add to the show. Overall this is a good concert DVD with plenty of camera angles and name brand acts but no one is fucking with KRS so just skip to the end and see what rocking a show is all about.
