Overview: Dan The Automater’s NBA2K7 soundtrack is a pleasant surprise, picking up where NBA2K6’s hot soundtrack left off. 2K Sports knew what they were doing when they signed Nakamura, who has impeccable artist selection and a great resume on top of that. He enlists well-respected emcees such as Lupe Fiasco, Rhymesfest, Most Def, and Charlie 2na among others. Standouts include Mos Def and Anwar’s “Here Comes The Champ,” Chali 2na’s “Anchor Man,” and Zion I’s “Fade Away.” One of the more interesting tracks is the remix of ‘93’s “Lyrics To Go” from A Tribe Called Quest. This 2006 take really brings this hot song back to life. Automater attempts to vary the styles by including tracks from Slim Thug, E-40 and Fabolous, but they just don’t fit the fire from the rest of the roster. If you can deal with dope beats mixed with ball bouncin’ and sneaker squeakin’ sound effects, then you just might mess around and catch a triple double with this album.

Dopeness Percentage - Takes into account how many dope songs there are compared to tracks on the album. For example, if an album had 14 tracks and 5 of them were dope, you have a Dopeness of 36%.
